Pre Activation Steps


  1. Check if the IMEI is compatible. 

The IMEI checker does not check if a device is network locked, blacklisted, paid off, or internationally locked.

  1. Make sure the device is charged.

  2. Verify the SIM can be used on the Gen Mobile Blue network.

  3. Make sure the SIM was properly inserted and the phone is reading the SIM card. Check the signal strength.

  4. If the customer plans on using a different device than the one that was activated, check if the IMEI is compatible. Call customer care for any device swaps on the account. 


Post Activation Steps


  1. Allow 2-5 minutes for full activation after MDN is assigned.

  2. Make sure the SIM was properly inserted, reading the SIM card and there is a signal. If the phone is not reading the SIM and it has multiple SIM trays, try using a different SIM tray. Make sure the settings are set for the SIM tray being used. 

  3. Go to the settings and perform a network reset.

  4. If the network reset does not set the device APNs correctly, use the APN checker to set the correct APNs.

  5. Power cycle and try again.
